2010, the department engaged RPR Consulting to consult with Forgotten Australians
about their
experiences with services, and to learn more about what is needed in the
future.
Consultations were undertaken by Ann Porcino, RPR Consulting.
The report on
the findings of the survey was produced by Dr Ian Watson.

Parliamentary Library Background Note This background note provides a brief overview and history of the arrival of child migrants from the United Kingdom and government responses to claims of their mistreatment whilst in institutional care in Australia. Similarly, Australian-born children raised in institutional care during this time have also claimed mistreatment.

resulting from the Commission of Inquiry into Children in State Care.

Irish Report 2009 The Irish Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse Act, 2000 (the Act) was enacted on 26th April 2000. The resulting Irish Report was released 20th May 2009

Forde Inquiry Queensland This links to the Queensland Government commissioned Forde Inquiry, held in 1998-1999, to investigate the treatment of children in licensed government and non-government institutions in Queensland.
